West Virginia Camping

The Confluence has a number of camping options to meet your group’s needs.  Why settle for a crowded campground along the highway when The Confluence offers the perfect alternative.  For the same price you could be located in a beautiful and tranquil setting with direct access to the Gauley River National Recreation Area and the Meadow and Gauley rivers. 

We have camping sites that are perfect for groups ranging from 2 to 25 campers.  Our camp sites range from camp decks with access to water and electricity to primitive sites deep in the woods, near the cliffs, along Staton branch creek, or along the Gauley or Meadow rivers.  Some sites are accessible by car for the car camping crowd and others are only accessible by 4x4 or on foot.

Camping at the Pavilion (Group Camping)

The Pavilion features a large covered picnic area, a giant gas grill, 20 amp and 30 amp electric service, and RV hook up as well as potable water supply.  The pavilion area also has 3 12’x12’ camp decks big enough for a 4 person tent as well as grassy fields to pitch any size tent.  Next to the pavilion you’ll enjoy fishing in the pond or just watching the frogs jump.   Toilets are rustic out houses. There is a giant fire circle and plenty of seasoned firewood on hand.

Camping In The Back Field

The Back Field has several flat tent sites with a fire circle and picnic table. The field is approximately 15 acres and is lined on all 4 sides by wooded forest.  The perfect place to enjoy the outdoors and still have easy access to your car. Campers can drive to the camp sites on dirt and gravel roads.  Water is available at the service garage and toilets are porta-johns.

Have you always wanted to camp high on a cliff overlooking the river….. Or deep in the woods along a creek….. Or steps from a 70 ft waterfall……or on the beach at the confluence of world class whitewater rivers…..or beside a gentle rapid with slides and swimming holes?  If those places sound good, The confluence has a special camping experience for you!  We will set you up with a dream location, we will shuttle you and your gear in, provide you with water and a portable toilet system and leave you to enjoy nature then way it was meant to be.  Your vehicle can be safely parked at our behind our service garage and will be within a 10 – 30 minute walk.  Feel free to color outside the lines – We strive to meet all requests to make your stay an exciting a memorable one.
